How do I become a new rider at Hands and Hearts for Horses?
All of our riders have documented disabilities. Also, we have them fill out paperwork before they begin their lessons with us. Lesson times are subject to availability of horses, instructors, and volunteers. Give us a call today and come on by!
Can I become a volunteer?
Yes. To become a volunteer, please call the office and check on Volunteer Training dates. When you come in for Volunteer Training, you will fill out some paperwork and be instructed in how to assist a therapeutic riding session. Please note that although we do welcome volunteers as young as ten years of age, our smaller volunteers and those who have little or no horse experience will, for the safety of our horses, riders, and volunteers, start working with us in the barn before helping as a leader or sidewalker in the ring.
How can I donate to your organization? Do you accept items as well as cash?

Do you accept donated horses?
Yes! Many of the horses in our program were donated to us by their original owners. We are always interested in hearing about your horse, but please consider the questions on our horse donation form before submitting the donation request. All NARHA horses must be at least 4 years old.
Are you an accredited program?
Yes. Hands and Hearts is a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association
Premier Accredited Center and all of our instructors are Certified
Registered Instructors with the same organization, also known as NARHA.

Can I come and visit?
Yes! We are open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Please call so that we know to expect you and can give you personalized directions!
