Karey is the “Big Boss” of the barn and one of the two people who began the program back in 2000. Graduating form St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a degree in business management and a minor in Equine business, she was the logical pick for executive director. Karey also continues to show in class A Amateur Hunter/Jumper shows with her horses. She teaches several lessons each week, and you can sometimes find her wandering the barn and feeding fruit to the horses. |

Terrell is the other half of the team that made the program possible. He spent most of his equine career with Tennessee Walking Horses, and has even shown with his children at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration in Tennessee. He still teaches lessons every Saturday at the age of 82, and loves every minute of it. The barn is his masterpiece and he is always happy to give anyone the grand tour. |

Terrell “Daddy” Singletary Instructor |

Kirsten graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a degree in Therapeutic Riding, and was quickly snatched up by the barn crew right after graduating. In her youth she was part of the 4-H show circuit, and enjoyed jumping. A native of Vermont she much prefers the weather down south. She is one of the primary instructors at the barn and can often be heard having full conversations with her equine children. In 2007 Kirsten received her Level 1 certification in Parelli Natural Horsemanship and was accepted into Who’s Who for Executive and Professional Women. |

Martha was born into the horse business as the daughter of Terrell and continues the tradition by volunteering as an instructor. Her two oldest children assist the program as volunteers, and even her youngest can be found at the barn helping. She is a fabulous instructor, and loves teaching and watching her riders advance in their abilities. In her spare time she takes lessons herself to improve as a rider and an instructor. Lots of times you can find her sneaking extra treats to the horses. |

Martha “Everything’s Fine” Hanna Instructor |

As Martha was born into the business, Michael married into it as her husband. A physical therapist by trade, he is the one who conducts our Hippotherapy sessions. He believes that laughter is the best medicine– next to horses, of course. |

Some might classify Michael as a stable hand, working with poo all day long. Those of us at the barn know that he is part ninja and only appears when you least expect it. Like a superhuman superhero, he swoops in and fixes things in a flash, saving the barn one pile of poo at a time. |

Cynthia is a native of Thomasville and an avid horse lover. As a young girl she used to ride and work out at Butler’s Pony Farm, were she learned a great deal about horses. We are very proud to welcome Cynthia to our Hands and Hearts family, and know that all of our “children” are in good hands with her. |
