Volunteer Orientation & Training!

  • Hands and Hearts for Horses 3824 Lower Cairo Road Thomasville, GA United States (map)

CALLING ALL NEW & RETURNING VOLUNTEERS!

Ready to Lend a Hand (and a Heart)?

Love horses but don’t know much about them? Whether you’ve been around barns your whole life or have never stepped foot in one, there’s a place for you at HHH.

At Hands & Hearts for Horses, we’re more than a barn, we’re a tight-knit community. Our Monthly Volunteer Orientation & Training is a chance to come out, meet the horses and see how a little bit of your time can make a real difference for our riders.

What to Expect

This isn’t a sit-down kind of meeting, you’ll be right in it with us:

• The Basics: Learn the roles of a leader, sidewalker and spotter
• Barn 101: Simple horse safety and basic care
• Why We Do It: A look at how we help riders meet their goals, one ride at a time
• What’s Happening: A quick update on what’s new around the program

Never Worked with Horses?

Most of our best volunteers started right there. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, from how to safely walk beside a horse, to how to support a rider and how to feel confident doing it.

Just bring closed-toe shoes, an open mind and a giving heart.
